The Problem: How to transport a huge dredger all the way to the Dead Sea in Jordan from the Netherlands. A client asked AFS to move a dredger (1630 tons) from a river in the Netherlands to the Dead Sea in Jordan.
The Solutions: AFS disassembled the huge dredger into 348 separate pieces. That resulted in many medium to large-sized items to gigantic parts of 30 meters wide and up to 7 meters high. We transported all these separate components by ships and on trucks over rivers, seas, and deserts to their final destination: the Jordanian Dead Sea. During transport, the AFS team had to solve challenges 24/7, Such as by-passing bridges thru the dessert, lifting low hanging powerlines and extreme weather conditions in Jordan.
The Final Result: Another thankful and satisfied client; their dredger is in full service in the Dead Sea.
